This short course has been specifically designed for people who are looking to enhance their skills, change career path or gain employment in Hospitality/Tourism. The program provides an opportunity to develop key employability skills and experience the world of work.Participants will receive a Statement of Attainment and a Certificate of Participation upon successful completion of the course.
This course will be delivered by Advance Community College in partnership with Carers of Africa.
Provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to extract and serve espresso coffee using a commercial espresso machine.

If you work, or want to work, for licensed premises that hold a general, on-premises, packaged liquor or late night licence you must successfully complete a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course approved by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR).

Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (SITXFSA001)
Learn the skills for receiving, preparing, handling and distributing food in the Retail, Hospitality, Community and Health Care service sectors.
Hygiene policies and procedures.
General hazards in handling food, linen and garbage etc.
Application of cleaning and sanitising equipment.
Participants will be provided with the opportunity within a real business context to develop skills across a range of employability skills and personal attributes.
WHEN: Wednesday & Thursday for two weeks
19th, 20th, 26th & 27th July and a 20 hours supported work placement.
16th , 17th, 23rd & 24th August and a 20 hours supported work placement.
Duration: Classroom based training 10am - 2pm daily.
Supported work placement - minimum of 20 hours.
Where: YSAS 155 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong
